Giving Thanks to God

Since the early church Christians have called our worship "Eucharist," or "thanksgiving." As we gather weekly at Church of the Vine to celebrate Jesus' resurrection, we respond with thanksgiving to the lavish generosity of God in a number of ways: singing songs of praise, reading Scripture, reciting the Nicene Creed, confessing our sins and dependence upon God, praying for the church and the world, and celebrating Holy Communion, to name a few. As God extends new life to us through his son, we respond joyfully by offering ourselves as living sacrifices, giving all that we have back to the Lord with gratitude. An aspect of this is displayed and practiced by giving our tithe, or sacrificial offering, during the offertory (when baskets are passed and our gifts our brought to the altar). We invite you to give during Sunday worship, or through the following ways listed below.

2025 Giving Pledges

In the weeks to come, Church of the Vine's Vestry will be working to establish a ministry budget for the year ahead, and we ask that you help us do that work by making a pledge. If you already give regularly, or if you made a pledge for 2024 and plan to continue giving regularly into 2025, we ask that you please fill out a new pledge. Thank you!
